The Blackheath & Greenwich Writers Group was founded in 2018 and has met regularly in and around the Blackheath and Greenwich areas ever since. 

We are a group of friendly and supportive writers who are committed to helping to progress and develop each others’ work. We mostly support narrative fiction projects, although we also welcome dramatic writing. 

Within the group, there is a range of experience, with both published and unpublished fiction and non-fiction writers. Our members include writers with decades of experience and newcomers who are at the beginning on their journey.

Many of our writers are developing work for publication, but many also write for fun. 

The main things we ask of our members is to:

• demonstrate an active commitment to writing

• support others by providing meaningful, constructive feedback 

• receive feedback openly and to participate with confidence.
